Iran attains technical know-how to produce crystal polypropylene
The company started research on the production of crystal polypropylene in 2005, and it produced 40 tons of the product for the first time last September, Mohsen Mazlum-Farsibaf, an official in charge of research works at the company said.
He added that the company has started the laboratory production of crystal polypropylene and it will launch mass production upon getting positive results from the laboratory production.
He also said that domestic industries’ need for crystal polypropylene currently stands at 15,000 tons per year, which is met through imports. “The production of the commodity will both meet the domestic demands and save $30 million for the country,” he added.
Giant companies such as Korean LG presently manufacture crystal polypropylene in the world, which is used for the production of household appliances, packaging containers, and medical instruments.
